What this policy covers
This policy covers the personal information we collect through this website and when you contact us about cleaning your block. It explains what we collect, why, who it reaches, how long we keep it and what you can ask us to do with it.
What we collect, and when
When you send an enquiry through the website
The quote form asks for:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your phone number (optional)
- The property postcode
- What you tell us about the block, in your own words
- The cleaning frequency you are interested in
We ask for the postcode because we cannot price a block without knowing where it is. Everything else is there so we can reply to you.
When you phone or email us
We keep whatever you choose to tell us in that conversation, and your contact details, so we can deal with your enquiry and any work that follows.
When you simply read the site
We use Vercel Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without building a profile of you. It does not identify you and we cannot use it to single you out. There is more detail in our cookies policy.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To answer your enquiry and prepare a quote Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us about our services.
- To carry out and manage cleaning work Scheduling, access arrangements, quality checks and invoicing. Our lawful basis is performance of our contract with you.
- To keep the records we are required to keep Invoices and other accounting records. Our lawful basis is compliance with our legal obligations.
- To understand which pages of the site are used Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in maintaining the website, using analytics that do not identify anyone.
We do not use your details for marketing. We do not add enquirers to a mailing list, we do not sell or rent personal information to anyone, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.
Who else sees it
Three suppliers process personal information on our behalf. They act on our instructions and cannot use your information for their own purposes.
- Formspree Delivers the website enquiry form to our inbox. Submissions pass through, and are briefly stored on, Formspree's systems in the United States. That transfer relies on the safeguards set out in Formspree's data processing terms.
- Vercel Hosts this website and provides the cookieless page-view analytics described above.
- Microsoft Provides the Outlook mailbox our enquiries arrive in.
Beyond that, we share personal information only where we are required to by law, or where it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.
Where we clean a block for a managing agent or landlord, we may need to confirm practical details with them, such as access arrangements. We do not pass residents' personal information to third parties.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not become work Deleted within 12 months of your last contact with us.
- Client records Kept for the length of the contract and then for six years, so we can deal with any query or claim about work we carried out.
- Invoices and accounting records Kept for six years, as UK tax rules require.
How we protect it
Enquiries reach us over an encrypted connection and are held in a password-protected mailbox. Access is limited to the people in the business who need it to reply to you or to run your cleaning contract. We keep the amount of information we hold to what we actually need.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:
- Give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Correct anything that is wrong or incomplete
- Delete it, where we have no continuing reason to keep it
- Restrict what we do with it while a question about it is resolved
- Provide it in a portable format, where it was given to us electronically
- Stop using it, where we are relying on legitimate interests

Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at any time.
